Live chat
Set up live chat
Add the chat widget to your website so visitors can reach your team while they browse.
Quick answer
Use TixTalk live chat to answer visitor questions, collect contact details, and turn conversations into tickets when the issue needs follow-up.
Before you start
Decide which website should show the widget, what greeting visitors should see, and who on your team will answer new chats.
If your company has multiple brands or websites, create a separate widget for each one so reporting and styling stay clean.
Create the widget
Open Settings, go to Live Chat, then create a new widget for the site you want to support.
- 1Name the widget after the website or brand.
- 2Choose the widget color, placement, greeting, and offline message.
- 3Add the website domains where the widget is allowed to load.
- 4Copy the install snippet and paste it before the closing body tag on your website.
- 5Visit your website in a private browser window and send a test message.
What customers see
Visitors see a small chat launcher on your site. When they open it, they can start a conversation, share contact details, and continue browsing while they wait for a reply.
If your team is offline, TixTalk can show an offline message so visitors know when to expect a response.
